At the media conference for Mga Lihim ni Urduja on February 15, Kapuso director Jorron Lee Monroy stressed that he didn’t compare the series to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
Monroy noted his mantra as a director about focusing on his craft as an artist.
“Ako po kasi, as a director and in my team also, ang parati kong sinasabi na don’t look outside, you just create your own world, you create your craft. Ako as an artist, ganon ko siya ginagawa. Para maging magaling kang pintor, you just create your own.”
While he admitted he is a fan of Coco Martin, Monroy maintained that ‘Mga Lihim ni Urduja’ already has a solid storyline.
Kaya, I don’t think there was ever a need to revise in competition to anything else because this is a series of its own naman po.”
He then highlighted what Kapuso viewers could expect in their immersive action-adventure series.
The action-adventure series also features Zoren Legaspi, Jeric Gonzales, Arra San Agustin, Vin Abrenica, Michelle Dee, Kristoffer Martin, Rochelle Pangilinan, Pancho Magno, Gina Pareño, and Sunshine Dizon.
Under the direction of Monroy with Dominic Zapata and Ralf Malabunga, Mga Lihim ni Urduja premieres on February 27 on GMA Telebabad.
