On January 31, Kapuso singer Jeniffer Maravilla talked about the meaning behind her song, Alimuom.
At the media conference for her song Alimuom, Maravilla admitted that she initially didn’t know the meaning of the word.
She explained that she focused on the song’s impact on her as an artist rather than the title.
And in fairness, medyo unique talaga ‘yung pagkakakagawa niya.”
She then recounted selecting the song written by Ann Margaret R. Figeuroa.
“Isa po ito sa mga songs na parang pinag-pilian ko or nai-present sa akin ng GMA Playlist, so ito po talaga ay napakagandang creation ni Miss Ann Figeuroa, so para po talagang siyang meant for me.
“Ang naging impact po sa akin or parang naging pinaka-simbolo po sa akin ng Alimuom sa akin na despite of all the hardships na pinagdaanan talaga, every time talaga, mayroon tayong pagkakataon, we are given the opportunity to rise again, and to begin a new chapter.
As for her music career, Maravilla expressed her interest in working with OPM artists such as Ben&Ben.
Maravilla released her song Alimuom, under GMA Playlist, on February 3. Stream her latest single on all digital music streaming platforms.
