The Kapamilya actress’ response is for an obviously made-up item that alluded to her ‘Mama Mo’ series being merely an attempt to help boost her TV show’s ratings.
Kapamilya leading lady, Janine Gutierrez, did not waste time, refuting an online article that suggested she was being active on Twitter, to help her show, ‘Dirty Linen’ pick up in TV ratings.
Take note that even with a still limited free TV presence, the recently launched Kapamilya series has been able to keep its rival Kapuso show’s ratings minimal. Let’s also not forget, we’re only talking about TV ratings here; the series has been notably pulling off extraordinarily high concurrent viewers on Youtube. It achieved two record-setting numbers on Kapamilya Online Live, last Monday, January 31, and yesterday, February 1, with more than 117,000 and 122,000 concurrent viewers, respectively. The show is airing and streaming live in a late prime time slot, making those numbers totally surprising.
The show does not only dominate Twitter’s trending topics during its time slot and beyond, but it also notably continues to post impressive people ratings. This was reported by Nielsen Philippines. On Friday, January 27, the series posted a 4.1 people rating, which is already remarkable, considering the limited combined free TV reach of A2Z and TV5.
SCOOP: The management of an actress instructed her to be more active on social media platforms to promote her show. The show is not doing very well ratings-wise and she was advised to keep interacting with supporters to increase social media mileage and for further promo,” tweeted Showbiz Banter.
Whether or not the author’s so-called “scoops” are purely, and genuinely speculative, or simply his way to create engagement, we can’t know for sure. But the frequency of his unflattering tweets about Kapamilya stars and shows, compared to their Kapuso counterparts, clearly indicates his true leaning.
Gutierrez was not tagged, but she got drawn to the tweet-in-question by another user who mentioned the actress’s ‘Mama Mo’ series. Long before the series began airing, the actress began to share the amusing moments she had when people mistook her for the daughter of another actress besides her mother.
“Kaya pala when I read that Mama Mo Series, it doesn’t sound natural. Clout chasing???,” wondered Twitter user, John Manalo.

“Ay di po ako to. Wala po nag instruct sakin. Mamatay man mama ko. Nakakatawa lang talaga yung mga moment kaya na-share ko. Hehe. Have a nice day at hello sa mama mo,” tweeted Gutierrez, responding to Manalo’s query.

Gutierrez’s fans, who surely know the actress better than Showbiz Banter does, also came to her aid, providing proof that she had, in fact, begun her Mama Mo series a long time ago. They also insisted that the actress had been very active on Twitter and had been interacting with fans, even before the implicit accusation.
Hmmm if I'm not mistaken, matagal na yan Mama Mo series..even before DL https://t.co/eYxnXi0qzI

As of this writing, the author has not clarified yet who the subject of his scoop was. Not that he needs to; the timing of the tweet and the previous insinuations he made clearly state whom the blind item was made-up for.
