As the hit historical portal fantasy series ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ (MCAI) nears its end, fans can’t help but wonder what’s next for David Licauco and Barbie Forteza.
In a report by GMA News on January 31, Licauco hinted that he still wanted to work with Forteza on future projects.
“It’s a pleasure to work with Barbie so hopefully after this, siya pa rin ‘yung makakasama ko,” he said.
On the other hand, Forteza said that she hopes to see more of Licauco this year. The actress revealed that she looks forward to seeing more of the actor this year.
Licauco and Forteza are paired up in MCAI with their ‘FiLay’ love team which is a combination of their characters’ names Fidel and Klay, respectively.
The duo managed to garner a massive following as their chemistry on-screen was undeniable.
With MCAI having 2 weeks left on the air, fans are hoping to see the ‘FiLay’ love team in another Kapuso project.
Meanwhile, Licauco expressed his gratitude to the fans for supporting MCAI. He remarked, “We’re really happy na grabe ‘yung engagement ng mga fans. Sana pagpatuloy pa nilang suportahan,” said the actor.
MCAI continues to dominate the rating leaderboards as it receives high ratings on the Nielsen NUTAM People Survey.
On Monday, January 23, MCAI scored a rating of 13.8 percent. On the following day, Tuesday, January 24, the series moved up by 0.4 percent to 14.2 percent.
