GMA Network senior vice president Annette Gozon-Valdes revealed that there is a possibility of adapting the robot anime series Daimos.
Daimos is produced by Toei Animation, the company that also produced Voltes V. The GMA Network is currently making a TV adaptation of Voltes V via Voltes V: Legacy.
In Paolo Contis’s online show #JustIn on February 8, Gozon-Valdes mentioned Daimos when asked about GMA Networks’ upcoming big projects.
“We’re planning on Daimos sana,” she said.
Daimos is a Japanese robot anime series that was popular in the Philippines. The story follows the inhabitants of the planet Baam, who
went to Earth after their home was destroyed.
Aside from Daimos, Gozon-Valdes also said that the GMA Network might work on Sang’gre, the Lolong sequel, and a big project for Alden Richards.
Meanwhile, the GMA Network is currently putting its focus on Voltes V: Legacy. The series will accordingly air in the second quarter of 2023 under the direction of Mark Reyes.
