At the media conference for his album Chapters on January 26, Kapuso singer Garrett Bolden expressed his hopes of getting into teleseryes, movie projects, and theater production.
Bolden listed his dream projects, including a stint on Broadway or West End theater productions.
“Siyempre hopeful po tayo and also dreaming na mangyari ‘yan. I’m also preparing myself if that time comes. At siyempre, gusto rin natin masubukan mag-teleserye, mag-movies, mag-teatro ulit like let’s say something bigger like Broadway or West End na ‘yung kumbaga it keeps my drive awake na kapag iniisip ko gusto kong marating ‘yung mga ganong opportunities.”
He also emphasized his interest in releasing more songs and honing his performing skills.
“And this time, siguro po, I’m looking forward, or one of my goals is also to, of course, release more songs– at the same time, I also want to venture into hosting or acting, ganyan, mga gusto kong pasukin na field.Â
“Pero siyempre, if I want to do it, I really want to come prepared, and I’m also thankful that I’m hosting the online stream of The Clash 2023, so medyo naho-hone ‘yung ating hosting skills when it comes to that. So I’m really, really excited with this year, kasi parang I hope I get to learn more skills.”
He then noted that he wanted to collaborate with fellow Kapuso singer Asia’s Limitless Star, Julie Anne San Jose.
“Siyempre, lagi kong nakakasama sa All-Out Sundays, pero parang gusto ko pong magkaroon ng –like I’m dreaming of having a single with, collaboration with of course, Miss Julie Anne San Jose, parang I want to sing a duet with her and parang hindi lang live performance, but parang track na people would listen to, yeah.”
Chapters highlights Bolden’s journey in music and life, which includes singles such as Lilipad Na, Handa Na Maghintay, Our Love, Pwede Pa Ba, and its carrier single, the revival of Kris Lawrence’s song, ‘Ikaw Pala.’
