The Primetime King is definitely back.
On Monday, February 13, Primetime King Coco Martin made a TV comeback after his latest Kapamilya action-drama teleserye, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ), registered a big win in TV ratings and online views.
According to the preliminary overnight rating result from the Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, FPJBQ scored a rating of 11.7 percent, 0.8 percent higher than Maria Clara at Ibarra‘s (MCAI) 10.9 percent and 3.9 percent ahead of Luv is Caught in His Arms, which scored 7.8 percent during their linear airing.
However, based on the total combined TV ratings (including delayed telecasts), MCAI registered a rating of 12.9 percent, 0.4 percent higher than FPJBQ‘s 12.5 percent rating.
Kantar Media has also released its own ratings, with FPJBQ getting 21.4 percent vs. MCAI‘s 19.1 percent and Luv is Caught in His Arm‘s 14.7 percent.
Meanwhile, aside from TV ratings, the Coco Martin-starrer teleserye also scored record-breaking live concurrent views on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube.
FPJBQ registered more than 341 thousand live concurrent views, the highest number of live-concurrent views for a pilot episode on Philippine TV.
Twitter trends were also dominated by the Kapamilya action-drama series, with many netizens praising the show’s camera work, color grading, perfectly executed action scenes, and commendable acting from its stars like Miles Ocampo and Lara Quigaman.

FPJBQ‘s pilot episode proved that Coco Martin is already a national primetime TV habit.
Can FPJBQ maintain its good TV rating performance and reclaim its former throne on the rating chart?
