On January 31, Kapuso singers Jennifer Maravilla and Psalms David revealed the artists that they want to work with from other networks.
At the media conference for their songs ‘Alimuom’ and ‘Ride’ respectively, Maravilla said she would love to work with Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria. The singer turned actress said, “Noong unang beses po ako natutong umarte, isa po talaga sa mga inadmire kong actress, if given an opportunity, kahit taga timpla lang po ulit ng kape, Miss Jodi Sta Maria, kasi ultimate idol ko po talaga siya na actress currently.”
David confirmed that he too wanted to work with Maris Racal and Jodi Sta Maria. The singer turned actor shared, “Gusto ko po makatrabaho po, in music and in acting, si Maris Racal po. Matagal ko na po siya ina-admire as a singer and as an actress, sobrang galing na galing po ako sa kanya sa pag-arte. Si Maris po gusto ko maka-trabaho and si Miss Jodi Sta Maria.”
As for musicians, Maravilla highlighted how much she wanted to collaborate with the OPM band, Ben&Ben. She expressed, “Given an opportunity, I think gusto ko po– sa ngayon, pinapangarap ko po ngayon na maka-collab ang Ben&Ben, medyo mataas ‘to ha…kahit hindi na po ka-collab kahit taga timpla na lang po ng kape nila okay na po ako…kasi ever since po noong nag-The Clash po ako, sobrang na-appreciate ko ‘yung arrangement noong songs. And kapag kasi ang Ben&Ben kasi ang umatake talaga ng songs, parang iba, kahit ‘yung mga originals nila, it felt like, lagi nila akong trina-transport talaga sa ibang dimension, sa ibang mundo with their songs.”
As for David, he revealed his interest in working with Kapamilya-turned-Kapuso singer Zephanie. He shared, “Before lagi ko pong naiisip na makatrabaho noong nasa kabila pa po si Zephaine, gusto ko po talaga siya maka-duet, kahit hindi po original song, or kahit maka-share ko lang siya ng stage. Eh ngayon po nasa GMA Network na siya, so hopefully po mabigyan po kami ng opportunity to collaborate.”
As for their latest music, Maravilla released her song ‘Alimuom’ under GMA Playlist, on February 3. Stream her latest single on all digital music streaming platforms.
David’s newest single, ‘Ride’, will be available on streaming platforms on February 10 with pre-orders available until February 9.
