On February 8, Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin highlighted the formula he carried from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to his new series, Batang Quiapo.
At the grand media conference for the latest series, Martin said the production plans to maintain the Philippine culture found in Ang Probinsyano in the new action-drama.
“Actually, formula ‘yung tatak Pinoy.
He then cited the difference between his previous character Cardo to his new role as Tanggol.
“Ano ‘yung pagkaka-iba?
He asserted that they made a conscious effort to ensure that viewers won’t see Batang Quiapo as a duplicate of Ang Probinsyano.
As for their series, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo stars Martin and the Supreme actress Lovi Poe.
The Kapamilya action-drama features a stellar cast with Irma Adlawan, Cherrie Pie Picache, John Estrada, Christopher de Leon, Charo Santos-Concio, and Tommy Abuel.
They also have Mark Lapid, Benzon Dalina, Pen Medina, Dindo Arroyo, Ronnie Lazaro, Marlo Mortel, Karl Medina, Precious Lara Quigaman, Ocampo, Ronwaldo Martin, and many more.
Under the direction of Malu Sevilla and Martin, the action-packed series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo airs beginning today, February 13, 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
