Filipino actor-producer Coco Martin is currently working on his upcoming project called ‘Batang Quiapo’ which started its first round of shooting on the same day as the Feast of the Black Nazarene this year.
There are rumors now that it will be just like ‘Ang Probinsyano’. Martin carified, “Sobra akong proud kasi sobra syang ibang-iba sa [Ang] Probinsyano, ibang-iba ung treatment, yung camera works, iba lahat, kasi nga sabi ko nga kailangan nating makipagsabayan sa international.”
He is really inspired and assures audiences that this will be a different take on his acting performance.
The reason he is serious about taking a big leap in the flow of this project is because he wants to be recognized internationally. This is like how Asian dramas dominate streaming platforms like Netflix.
When asked about what he would do with ‘Batang Quiapo’, he said, “Ngayon po, honestly sa ‘Batang Quiapo’, iniba ko sya totally, kasi ayokong isipin ng iba na ‘napanood ko na ‘to’, kasi for seven years mo ng ginagawa, halos lahat ng ideas mabubuo mo na.”
‘Batang Quiapo’ will air its first episode in the first quarter of 2023.
