On February 6, new director Christopher Novabos talked about his experience with his directorial debut film Lagaslas.
At the media conference for his first film, Lagaslas, Novabos regarded his film as his first sexy-erotica project.
“My first sexy-erotica project–my first film ever. Parang directorial debut ika nga.”
He then clarified that he preferred to challenge himself by taking on a sexy genre film as his first project.
No, kasi nacha-challenge ako sa ganitong bagay.
He also discussed his preparations as a filmmaker for his first directorial project.
“Sa akin, I’m doing a lot of research when it comes to sexy scenes, and then ‘yung emotions, siyempre.
He thanked his stars Manang Medina and VR Reloso, and the entire cast for making his first film a collaborative experience.
“And then itong dalawa, si Manang and si VR, very thankful ako kasi hindi ako nahirapan. Actually, from the cast and the staff and crew, very collaborative, na talagang nandoon ‘yung participation nila para mapagaan ‘yung bawat eksena.”
As for his film, Lagaslas stars Medina and VR Reloso with seasoned actors Julio Diaz, Rubi Rubi, and Arnold Reyes.
Under the direction of Novabos, Lagaslas streams via Vivamax on February 17.
