Journalist Philip Lustre Jr. claimed that Ogie Diaz should have his talk show as he can go against Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
On January 23, Abunda officially returned to television with his Kapuso talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
The King of Talk already had quite a lineup of celebrity guests from Marian Rivera, Bea Alonzo, Alden Richards, and Dina Bonnevie.
In a tweet on January 31, Philip Lustre Jr. claimed that Diaz could go head-to-head with Abunda in terms of having his talk show.
OGIE Diaz should've his own talk show, netizens say. He's a great alternative to Boy Abunda, who is a showoff, although not exactly bright. Besides being a natural comedian, Ogie also asks intelligent questions. BA is so insecure and his tendency is to show off. Pa-impress si BA.

Diaz replied that his skills in doing a talk show still have a long way to go compared to Abunda’s.
Nako po, sir, kahit mahina na po ako sa kanin, marami pa po akong isasaing na bigas para maging siya. Tinitingala ko po si Kuya Boy. Pero salamat pa rin po sa papuri. https://t.co/dY4x5KAaEH
