The three gentlemen are currently the male ambassadors of the Surge Fitness and Lifestyle Gym.
Friendships that last beyond decades are admittedly not common in showbiz. A common scenario in the industry is broken friendships and romantic relationships due to their chaotic and duplicitous nature. That’s not to say it is extremely rare to find friendships that are built to last for a lifetime in the realm of local entertainment.
Serving as screaming proof that genuine friends exist in showbiz, are the trio, Zanjoe Marudo, L.A. Tenorio, and Hyubs Azarcon. These three characters managed to get along and remain good friends for a very long time. The trio attended the Surge Masquerade Ball at The Manila House last December 6.
Kapamilya leading man Zanjoe Marudo teased that they would have a show together (referring to local basketball superstar, L.A. Tenorio, and actor-comedian Hyubs Azarcon).
“Sa Paris. Sa show ni Piolo (Pascual) at KC (Concepcion),” answered Marudo when asked where and how he met Azarcon. The two actors were notably part of the cast of the Filipino adaptation of the South Korean drama. Lovers in Paris. The series starred Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion, while Zanjoe, just starting out in show business, played the second male lead.
On the other hand, Marudo and Tenorio had been friends in Batangas before welcoming Azarcon into their circle. The Kapamilya star recalled that he and Tenorio used to be rivals in basketball before he started showbiz via Pinoy Big Brother. Tenorio now has kids, who are both godfathered by his two best friends.
A testament to their strong friendship is their common interests when it comes to hobbies and other interests. The trio has a YouTube channel, where they vlog their motorbike adventures across the country. It is also because of that similarity that they got tapped together to be Surge’s newly named product ambassadors.
