On January 17, Dirty Linen director Onat Diaz and actor John Arcilla highlighted what viewers could expect with Golden Globe best-supporting actress nominee Dolly de Leon in the Kapamilya revenge-series.
At the media conference for Dirty Linen, which LionhearTV covered, Diaz hinted at more scenes from the de Leon’s character in the series.
“Marami pang nakatabi, marami pang nasa baul. ‘Yung napanood ninyo doon sa pilot, this is just the tip of her life span. Kasi, marami pang–,”
Arcilla then noted de Leon’s involvement in the story and her career as a theater actress.
“Kay Dolly nagmula ‘yung buong germ ng story. Si Dolly is actually is ka-contemporary ni Eugene Domingo at ni Candy Pangilinan, matagal na siya sa theater at under siya kay Tony Mabesa. She’s really one of the best noong nag-uumpisa pa lang siya maging talagang thespian ng U.P.”
Earlier, de Leon received international recognition for her role in Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness, with her being the first Philippine actress to receive a Golden Globes nomination.
As for her Kapamilya series, Dirty Linen stars Janine Gutierrez, Zanjoe Marudo, Francine Diaz, and Seth Fedelin.
The teleserye features a powerhouse ensemble composed of Jennica Garcia, de Leon, Janice de Belen, Joel Torre, Susan Africa, Tessie Tomas, Soliman Cruz, Epy Quizon, Arcilla, Angel Aquino, Tessie Tomas, JC Santos, Xyriel Manabat, Raven Rigor, and Christian Bables.
The series also has Aubrey Miles, Andrea Del Rosario, Karl Medina, Apey Obera, Tart Carlos, CJ Navato, Ana Abad Santos, Nanding Josef, and Rubi-Rubi.
Under the direction of Andoy Ranay and Diaz, Dirty Linen airs on January 23 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC.
