The Kapuso child star, embarks on his biggest role yet in his career, via ‘Voltes V: Legacy’, one of the most anticipated Kapuso series.

GMA Sparkle’s Rapahel Landicho is all set to become one of the network’s most prized child stars. The 10-year-old Kapuso star is unquestionably ahead of his contemporaries on GMA, playing one of the lead roles in ‘Voltes V’, a live-action adaptation of an anime classic.
During the GMA Regional press conference of the show in Iloilo, last January 21, Landicho kept up with his older co-stars in answering the questions from the members of the press.
“Si Little John po ang pinakabata sa ‘Voltes’ team, ang pinakabata sa Armstrong brothers, and siya po ay isang batang genius na mahilig mag-imbento. Siya po ang nagpapa-andar sa legs ni Voltes V,” he shared, introducing his character, Little John.
Landicho has been around showbiz since 2019. He debuted via the Kapuso TV series, ‘Bihag’ where he earned “Best Child Performer” at the 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Television.
Prior to landing the role in ‘Voltes V: Legacy’, he also appeared in the TV series, ‘Love of My Life’, in 2020. As a newbie and a child star, he admitted that he had some adjustments to make in preparation for his role.
“Preparations ko po is, of course, acting, and a little bit of taekwondo po. Nanood ng Voltes V na anime, kasi po bata pa ‘yung character ko. Kasi po, Gen Z po ako di ba? Ngayon ko lang po na-discover ‘yung Voltes V, so ngayon ko lang po mapapag-aralan,” he shared, although it’s worth noting he is just 10 years old, which makes him part of Generation Alpha. The child actor certainly knows what to say when asked what his character will teach the young audience.

“Inspiration po, kasi parang ako, pinapakita ko po sa mga audience na dapat kahit bata pa po kaya, marami kayong naitutulong and you need to study hard,” he confidently told the press.
‘Voltes V: Legacy’ will premiere on GMA Network in primetime in 2023. Check out the much-discussed “mega” trailer below:
