On January 3, Christine Bermas talked about doing action-genre in Nightbird and her possible career path.
At the media conference for Nightbird, covered by LionhearTV, Bermas considered the upcoming Vivamax film a positive start to pursuing her goals as an actress.
The sexy actress said, “Since noong nagawa ko na itong Nightbird, okay naman siya sa akin kasi, nag-start din naman ako–I mean nasubukan ko na rin naman lahat ng sexy film. For siguro now, good start din sa akin ‘yung Nightbird and ngayon pa siya lalabas nitong 2023.”
She said that her role in Nightbird was a dream come true for her career as an artist. Bermas shared that it was not an easy role to take as it demanded several physical moves and agility. Physical training was required.
She then discussed the training she underwent in preparation for playing the role.
The Vivamax star shared, “Yes, marami po kaming ginawang paghahanda dito. Nag-training kami for one week, training sa Yawyan, nag-training kami ng Knife [Fighting], lahat…Mayroon kaming coach, trinain niya kami, hindi lang ako. Also all the cast, nagkaroon kami ng one week training.”
She then expressed her hopes of doing more action and drama genre films in 2023. According to her, “Siguro in the future, like what I said before, gusto ko talaga ng mga film na nacha-challenge ako even though, hindi ako siguro gumawa ng film na tuloy-tuloy, pero kapag dumating ‘yung film, alam mo parang mabibigay mo talaga ‘yung 100%. Siguro like action films pa din, or more mga drama films ganon.”
As for Nightbird, the revenge-action film also stars Mark Anthony Fernandez, Sid Lucero, Arron Villaflor, and Felix Roco.
Directed by Law Fajardo, ‘Nightbird’ streams on Vivamax starting January 13.
