The TV host-vlogger also posted a statement online about her realization after the incident, promising she would become a better person.
“On my birthday, God taught me a hard and important lesson. Humility, kindness and better judgment. I am truly sorry, Kuya Allan.
To my family, I am sorry for causing you pain and embarrassment. I will rise from this a wiser and better person.”
This was what Alex Gonzaga, posted on her Facebook page, yesterday, January 18. It got noticed, after the news that she [personally] reached out and apologized to Allan Crisostomo, the service worker she allegedly humiliated on her birthday.
A written statement by Crisostomo and some photos confirmed that Gonzaga indeed visited him at his workplace to personally ask for an apology.
“Last January 17, 2023, around 7:30 PM, nasa work po ako, pumunta si Ma’am Alex kung saan po ako nagwowork, then nag-apologize and nagsorry siya sa akin, tapos konting kwentuhan at sinabi ko po sa kanya na ok na po ‘yung nangyari. Ok na po kami,” Crisostomo’s letter reads.
Because of the letter, netizens had awkward reactions to the sincerity of Gonzaga’s apology.
“She again, used God just to make her seem like she “learned” her lesson. But the thing is, you never learned anything Alex Gonzaga. You’re acting like hindi ka marunong umintindi. A letter? Really? That only shows how you can manipulate people. You don’t deserve anything!,” tweeted Ice, who sounded not convinced.

“By asking for the written testimony and signature of Allan Crisostomo, the waiter whom #AlexGonzaga smeared with chocolate icing, the latter has only added another layer of oppression against the former. It is not enough to ask for an apology in private and orally,” noted @otserquina, who seemed to find an anomaly in the need to issue such a written and signed statement.

Similarly, Alexis suspected the letter is “somewhat” manipulated, “How to tell someone was coerced:
“You had to make and sign a statement saying you are okay. In what world is this required when apologizing unless you need it to be legal?? What is this?
“Yo, AG— the heck?”

“It’s giving blotter,” tweeted Tin Gamboa, noting the similarity of such a letter to a blotter report.

DJ ChaCha of Radyo Singko got the same impression, and tweeted, “Bakit may letter with signature? Police report ba yan? NAKAKALOKA.”
