At the Thanksgiving dinner of the MMFF2022 film Deleter on January 11, actress Nadine Lustre confirmed that she’s happy to be with Viva Entertainment again.
She acknowledged the misunderstanding she and Viva had early in the pandemic, noting that she feels happy to work with the entertainment company again.
“Of course, I think naman po just like any family, nagkakaroon naman po ng misunderstanding. So definitely, I’m happy that I’m back with Viva again and that we’re working together.”
She noted that Viva seemed more open to giving her more out-of-the-box projects.
“And this time around, they’re open to making I guess more projects na very out of the box ganyan. Hindi na lang siya puro romcom ulit ‘yung ginagawa ko. So excited to work on more projects.”
She then discussed her dream role as an actress.
“Ayun nga po, sabi ko nga po, parang gusto ko ng movie na psychopath. Hindi ko po alam, it’s very challenging po kasi, at gusto ko rin pong ma-test hanggang saan ‘yung kaya ko. Personally, I’m a huge fan of crime, mga documentaries, and even–medyo weird, even ‘yung mga serial killer na mga series, ganon, movies all of that.”
She also discussed her process when watching series or films with complex characters.
“For me, I guess, na-amaze lang ako sa mga artista na gumaganap, ‘yung mga gumaganap talaga. So gusto ko talagang ma-experience talaga ‘yung pinagdadaanan nila kapag gumagawa sila ng ganon. Very challenging po siya.
“Parang ‘yung ganon, mga Harlequin or yeah, o kaya sobrang– Hannibal Lecter is also good, sobrang gusto ko si Evan Peters sa American Horror Story, stuff like even Jeffrey Dahmer, ‘yung mga ganong klase ng role. Ako personally, sobrang favorite ko ‘yung American Horror Story.”
As for her film, Deleter won seven awards from MMFF Gabi ng Parangal, such as Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Actress for Nadine Lustre, and Best Picture.
Deleter also stars McCoy De Leon, Louise delos Reyes, and Jeffrey Hidalgo. Directed by Mikhail Red, the psychological-horror film premiered on December 25, 2022, and has been extended in cinemas nationwide.
