Lovi Poe is the special guest of Tirso Cruz III, Christopher de Leon, and Edgar Mortiz’s upcoming pre-Valentine concert.
Flor Santos of Dreamwings Entertainment revealed that Poe is the top choice of the heads among the listed 50 female performers as the muse of the three showbiz icons during the press conference at Oriental Palace on January 10.
“List of 50, tapos down to 28, number one talaga in fairness si Lovi,” Santos disclosed.
“Merong top seven na, parang ayaw na nilang maglagay sa ibang isip nila other than Lovi.”
However, Poe is clueless about the selection process for the special guesting in the pre-Valentine show.
“Actually, first time kong narinig ‘yong story na ‘to kaya I’m so so flattered. Thank you so much for having me, for choosing me,” the actress humbly confessed.
Poe started to sing again with her performances on ASAP, which ignited her passion for music once more.
“Parang tuwing ginagawa ko ‘yon every Sunday, talagang naramdaman kong na-miss ko ‘yong pagkanta kasi nagsimula naman talaga ako as a singer,” she stated.
With that, Poe is excited about the event with the icons as she goes back to her first love, singing. Then, she recalled the feeling when she recorded her first song, I Never Knew Love, talking to her management to record a new version of it.
She admitted “Sa totoo lang, every time they say that there’s rehearsal, sobrang excited ako kasi finally kakanta ako ulit.”
Speaking of talent, she had goosebumps as Mortiz poured him compliments and praises for her singing skills.
“Ang sabi ko ‘Ang lalim palang kumanta nito ha?’ Walang biro. Sabi ko kasi bihira ‘yong kumakanta ng ganoong mga kanta.”
Furthermore, Poe assured the public that they will hear her singing classical songs and make some duets at the Some Kind of Valentine this February 3 and 4.
