Seasoned broadcast journalist Noli ‘Kabayan’ de Castro will return as an anchor for the Kapamilya Network’s longest-running news program, TV Patrol, on Monday, January 9, 2023.

De Castro announced his return on his radio program on Teleradyo on January 6.

“Magkita-kita tayo sa Lunes. Live ho ako sa Quirino Grandstand para sa TV Patrol.”

On Monday, De Castro will anchor TV Patrol live from the Quirino Grandstand to coincide with the Nazareno 2023 celebrations.

De Castro joins fellow broadcast journalists Henry Omaga-Diaz, Karen Davila, and Bernadette Sembrano for his return to TV Patrol.

Aside from his newly-assigned post, he would continue hosting his public service show ‘Kabayan’ and the morning newscast ‘TeleRadyo Balita’ with Joyce Balancio on TeleRadyo.

De Castro started his career as a broadcast journalist in 1982. He then became a news anchor for TV Patrol in 1986. He left broadcast journalism to pursue politics from 2001 to 2010. He then returned as a news anchor for TV Patrol in 2010.

He also briefly left ABS-CBN when he filed his candidacy for a Senate post in 2021. However, he backed out of the bid and returned to the Kapamilya Network.

Catch De Castro on TV Patrol starting January 9, 6:30 PM via A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, youtube.com/ABSCBNNews, news.abs-cbn.com/live and other ABS-CBN News digital platforms.
