Mars Ravelo’s Darna producer Julie Anne R. Benitez a.k.a. JRB had a busy week on social media, answering netizens’ criticism about the series.
In one of her tweets on January 5, Benitez dismissed a netizen’s claim that they are shortchanging their graphics artists, resulting in poor CGI.
She questioned the netizen, asking where he/she got the idea that they were not paying their graphic artists well.

Meanwhile, another netizen joined the conversation, arguing that if the production is paying their VFX team well, they must be just wasting their money with the incompetent graphics artists due to the quality of Darna’s CGI.
The Kapamilya executive, however, can’t help but laugh off the netizen’s comment using laughing emojis.

The superhero series received both praise and criticism concerning its visual effects.
At the start of the series, netizens were astounded by the impressive CGI and fight scene, which according to them–could be the best yet for a Philippine TV series.

However, as the series progressed, the visual effects regressed, drawing the ire and disappointment of Kapamilya viewers.
