Gerald Anderson denied the speculations that he and Julia Barretto had already tied the knot.
On January 6, via an interview, Anderson dismissed the rumors he and Barretto were secretly married.
“No, no, no. Hindi ko gagawin sa inyo ‘yan. Kapag dumating tayo diyan, there is nothing to hide. Wala na dapat tinatago. No, it’s not true.
“Is she the person? Kung nangyari ‘yon, I want to start a family right away. Gusto ko tuloy-tuloy na. We are almost there, but you know, just a little more,” Anderson shared.
In September 2022, in an interview with Karen Davila, Barretto shared how she trusts Anderson.
She got asked whether both of them have plans of getting married soon.
“I don’t think that’s up to me. I think that’ll come at the right time. But I do feel very secure in the relationship that we have, and I’m really happy. I don’t have anything to worry about,” she answered.
Barretto addressed the issue regarding her and Anderson’s alleged breakup.
“Sa news, every month, that’s the situation. No, we haven’t broken up. I think that’s a sign na we’re really able to protect our relationship and keep it private.”
In August 2022, Anderson got romantically linked with his movie co-star, Kylie Padilla.
In 2019, rumors of Barretto and Anderson dating started. In March 2021, Anderson confirmed his relationship with Barretto.
