Dimples Romana took to social media to express her gratitude for winning an award at the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
On December 27, the MMFF 2022 “Gabi ng Parangal” event was held to award Filipino films that won in different categories.
Dimples Romana won the “Best Supporting Actress” award for her film ‘My Father, Myself’.
In her Instagram post on December 27, Romana thanked all the people behind the movie as well as the fans who supported her.

Romana declared, “Father God, I feel unworthy and yet you bless me with so much more than what I feel I deserve…What a joy to work with people who empower you to be better always.”
She also thanked her family for their love and support.
The actress expressed, “And to my family @papaboyetonline @callieahmee #AlonzoRomeoJose #ElioJuanManolo none of this would be possible if not for your constant love, support, forgiveness, and understanding of my passion as an actor. One day I hope to make you proud ♥️.”
Getting the inspiration from the character she portrayed, she said, “Sa lahat ng mga Amanda, na patuloy na nagmamahal at umuunawa, yumayakap sa mga taong mahal natin ng walang pagtatanong, pagaaalinlangan at panunumbat, anuman ang kasarian natin, ang pagmamahal ay pagmamahal.”
Meanwhile, ‘My Father, Myself’ also won the Best Float award and Best Child Performer: Shawn Niño Gabriel.
The big winners of the night were “Best Actress” Nadine Lustre for the movie ‘Deleter’ which garnered seven awards; and “Best Actor” Ian Veneracion for ‘Nanahimik ang Gabi’.
