Filipina film and television actress Bea Alonzo will take legal action against a netizen who accused her of “land-grabbing”.
On January 16, Alonzo was featured in a media outlet for inviting their Aeta neighbors to their farm in Zambales. Alonzo treated them to a home-cooked meal.
On January 18, a netizen left a comment, implying that Alonzo had taken the land of the natives.
“That’s nice, now how about giving their land back,” @ALOyoutoo stated.
On January 19, a netizen shared that the tweet had already reached Alonzo.

“Accla! Walang burahan ng tweet huh. This already reached Bea Alonzo. Let’s wait for her action against this heavy and baseless accusation. For now, ipon ka na ng sources mo as evidence,” the tweet said.
Atty. Joey V. Garcia, Alonzo’s legal counsel, said that the malicious accusation was untrue. It is unfortunate that a certain ‘ALOyoutoo’ made a very irresponsible & highly outrageous statement on Twitter asserting that Ms. Bea Alonzo should give Aetas their land back. Garcia explained, “For the record, our client vehemently opposes that baseless and very unfair accusation. She and her family are the absolute and registered owners of the parcels of land in Zambales, acquired through legal and valid means.” He added, “Let this message serve as a stern & final warning to that fellow who posted the disparaging remarks against Ms. Bea Alonzo on social media to retract his/her unfounded accusation and to cease further making defamatory statements that bring disrepute to our client.”
Garcia furthered, “Otherwise, we shall be constrained to initiate all the appropriate legal actions against him/her in no time.”
