On January 12, actresses Snooky Serna and Sunshine Cruz described working with Lexi Gonzales, Elijah Alejo, and Hailey Mendes.
At the media conference for ‘Underage,’ which LionhearTV covered, Serna said she enjoyed working with the young Kapuso stars praising their humility.
The veteran actress revealed, “Really, ito’y walang halong press release anak, it was really such a joy for me to work with these three beautiful young ladies, kasi lahat sila ay mga matured, very level headed, and it’s so refreshing to be able to work with young people who are so humble. Wala silang attitude at all.”
She also noted their professionalism while sharing her experience working with other young artists.
Serna shared, “Wala silang– hindi silang feeling no, kasi ‘yung ibang mga kabataan na ‘yun, na I have to be very honest, na kapag may medyo edad ka na sa industriya, dadaandaanan ka na lang, they we’re so kind, they we’re so kind to me. They’re very understanding, very professional. I tip my hat to all of them. So really, I’m just grateful to God na ako ay nakasama sa proyektong ito.”
As for Cruz, she attested to the talent of the young Kapuso stars and their “sister-like” support for each other while taping the series. Cruz said, “Sina Lexi, Hailey, at Elijah, sobrang parang mga gripo.
She then echoed Serna’s assessment of Gonzales, Alejo, and Mendes’ attitudes toward their co-stars.
As for their series, Gonzales, Alejo, and Mendes star in the TV adaptation of the 1980’s film, ‘Underage.’
Serna and Cruz also joined the teleserye with a powerhouse cast featuring Gil Cuerva, Nikki Co, Yayo Aguila, Maey Bautista, Smokey Manaloto, Jean Saburit, Christian Vasquez, Jome Silayan, and Vince Crisostomo.
Directed by Rechie del Carmen, the Kapuso teleserye premieres this January 16 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
