On January 23, multi-instrumentalist musician Abby Clutario revealed why she signed up with AltG Records after being an indie artist for 20 years. At a media conference, Clutario called her deal with the recording company an achievement.
The musician revealed, “It’s an achievement actually– for me, it’s an accomplishment as well as an opportunity that I can’t pass na naka-sama po ako sa AltG Records, which is one of the labels we have here in the Philippines, no.”
She then recounted her experience as an indie music artist. Clutario shared, “Being an independent artist po for more than 20 years, na-experience ko na rin ho lahat ng pwedeng ma-experience ng isang artist as far as being independent.
She also highlighted the benefits of signing with a music label for artists who aim to expand their reach. It is under this label that she feels a huge difference in terms of “reach,” which is also her primary goal in her career.
As for her music, Clutario signed her contract with AltG Records, a sub-label of GMA Music, in November 2022.
‘Tadhana,’ her rendition of the Up Dharma Down song, was just published under AltG and is now available on music streaming services such as Spotify.
