At the media conference for Partners in Crime, which LionhearTV covered on December 13, Unkabogable comedian-host Vice Ganda highlighted how he protects, carries, enriches, and reinvents his brand.
Vice cited that he tries to keep up with the times to protect and reinvent his brand as a celebrity.
“Of course, there is this thing called brand. You have a brand– you have to keep and protect that brand. Tapos mayroon kang core, ‘yun ‘yung mga things kine-keep mo, your core, your brand, prinoprotektahan mo yan.
“Pero at the same time, while carrying your brand and protecting your brand, and enriching your brand, you have to reinvent. Every now and then. You have to keep up with the times. Kasi nag-e-evolve eh. Lahat nage-evolve: ang landscape, ang panahon, ang tao, ang itusra natin, di ba?”
He then noted the importance of continuously reinventing his brand.
What you are today, is no longer, di ba?– Not longer the same as tomorrow.
“Parang for you to also be interesting in their eyes, di ba? Kasi kung wala kang io-offer, maghahanap at maghahanap sila ng iba na may iba pang mai-ooffer kasi endless ang needs ng tao to be entertained.”
He then acknowledged the challenge of celebrities in keeping people interested in their brands.
“Every now and then, may reason ang mga tao to be entertained.
“So that’s very challenging and you have to accept the challenge, kasi if not, babu.
“Kaya ‘yung title nga na laging sinasabi, unkabogable, it’s been my brand, and at the same time it’s my life style.”
As for his upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 film, Vice Ganda stars in Partners in Crime with Ivana Alawi.
Directed by Cathy-Garcia Molina, the Star Cinema film opens on December 25, Christmas Day.
