At the media conference for Deleter, which LionhearTV covered on December 6, actress Nadine Lustre reacted to the possibility of her landing the Best Actress Award in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022.
Lustre cited the positive feedback she received from netizens who saw the trailer for the MMFF2022 entry, Deleter.
“I guess ‘yung mga comments po from of course, the casuals na nakikita ko online. They’re really very impressed, just because they see me in a different way. Kasi, sanay po ‘yung mga tao na makita ako as, you know, someone na nagpapakilig, nagpapatawa, nagpapaiyak. So, this time it’s a different light.”
However, she clarified that she was not claiming the Best Actress award. Instead, she wanted to focus on her role in the thriller.
“So tignan natin– ayaw ko po i-claim. Hindi po ako ganon. Tignan po natin kung anong mangyayari.
“But definitely, I did do my best. Kinareer ko po talaga ito kasi nga po sobrang excited nga po ako. Pero tignan po natin, kasi I’m sure marami rin pong magagandang MMFF entries. And I’m sure, maraming rin pong magagaling na ibang mga actresses.”
She also acknowledged the effort the cast put into the film’s production.
“I think for this film, talagang lahat po, proud kami kasi best foot forward po kami. ‘Yung buong effort namin, binigay namin. Katulad nga po ng sabi ko, dugo’t pawis, kape, ‘yun po talaga ‘yung binigay namin dito. So we’re very, very excited and we’re very, very proud of Deleter.”
