The all-girl quintet is the first-ever girl group debuting under the newly-formed media and talent management company, BLVCK Entertainment.
One can’t tell they are young girls in the 18-19 age range who just completed three-month intensive training. One thing is for certain, though: Rhen, Jea, Ely, Anasity, and Twinkle, all of whom are stunning in their own right, are taught very well about dealing with the pressure that will undoubtedly be placed on them once their careers pick up speed in the coming months or years.
That said, it is no secret that groups like BLVCK Ace, go through a lot, other than long periods of intensive and exhausting training. The girls were asked during the press conference, about the sacrifices they made just to pursue showbiz and their starting recording careers.
Jea, who continues to attend school while juggling her life’s journey as a recording star, says: “Wala po kaming kailangang problemahin dahil ang management po namin is, suportado ang pag-aaral namin. Like kaya po naming pagsabayin. Wala po kaming masyadong hirap dahil ‘yung management po namin is very supportive po.”
Well, it looks like the girls are not having trouble navigating their new life at all, as every member of the group seemed to agree that the management’s support has been very helpful in the realization of their dreams. Jea, meanwhile, underscored the support of their family on their decision to pursue showbiz. She shared, “Ang family po namin ay very supportive and sobrang saya po nila para sa amin dahil natutupad po namin ang mga pangarap namin, na gustong gusto po naming gawin, at very supportive po ng aming management dahil sila po ang nagmomotivate sa main.”
In acknowledging the sacrifices made by the girls to follow their current paths, talent manager Engr. Grace Cristobal believes that the risk BLVCK Entertainment is currently taking will be worth it in the future.
According to Cristobal, “‘Yun ‘yung advantage ng pagiging negosyante ko. Sa akin kasi wala nang stable, or kung sino ang nauna. Ang importante once kami nagdecide mag-asawa, susubukan at susubukan talaga namin at gusto naming ipagpatuloy ‘yun. The advantage is, ‘yung strong personality namin eh, na kahit sila na first timers sila, lahat naman nag-uumpisa sa simula.”
Given the current competition in the PPOP scene and the fact that these girls are all first-timers, it seems BLVCK ACE is yet to confront its biggest challenge yet, and alongside it, sacrifices to be made. Will they succeed in their endeavor? Let’s see in the coming months.
