On December 6, actress Matet De Leon shut down a basher calling her ‘laos.’

Through her Instagram story, De Leon posted a screenshot of a message she received from a netizen saying, “Papansin ka lang e. Laos is real! Yeah! Ampon ka sabi mo kaya dapat tumanaw ka ng utang na loob sa nag papalaki sayu!”

De Leon wrote in the IG story, “Hindi po nalalaos ang supporting actors. Mga bida lang po. Labyu. [laughing emoji]” shutting down claims she lost her star power.

This message was sent after De Leon called out her adoptive mother, Nora Aunor, for opening a gourmet tuyo and tinapa business that competed with her own.

Her earlier comment-turned-off IG post wrote, “Would you do this to your children? HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER. HOW? how can I do that now? Ay, AMPON PALA AKO.”

According to De Leon, Aunor knew that her adoptive daughter had a gourmet tinapa and tuyo business before she ventured into a similar industry.

In a YouTube post, De Leon expressed how much she felt betrayed by what her adoptive mother did.

She expressed, “How do I feel about it? I feel very sad. I feel betrayed. Para akong trinaydor. Para akong… grabe, ampon na ampon yung pakiramdam ko ngayon mga tol…Ang lakas makaampon nung ginawa nila. Ang lakas makaampon, damang-dama ko pagkaampon ko.”

Matet maintained her career as an actress while being Nora Aunor and Christopher De Leon’s adoptive daughter with Lotlot, Kiko, and Kenneth.

She began her career at a young age in ‘I Love You Mama, I Love You Papa’ (1986) and remained one of the most well-known actresses in the country.

One of her notable roles was Zoila in the three-part romantic movie series, A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009), and It Takes A Man and a Woman (2013).

In 2022, she worked on the TV series Niña Niño and Suntok sa Buwan. She also worked on the DonBelle (Donny Pangilinan- Belle Mariano) movie, ‘An Inconvenient Love.’

With these in mind, De Leon has 36 years of showbiz experience to back her up.
