On December 15, Viva artist Kiko Estrada maintained that he doesn’t find himself sexy.
At the digital conference for ‘Panibugho’ which LionhearTV covered, Estrada highlighted that he wanted to focus on his acting instead of his looks.
“…I don’t find myself sexy at all. I don’t know why. I’m not trying– to be honest,” Estrada expressed.
He also said he likes playing the role of “real people”; he prefers playing characters not models because he is not a model.
Estrada explained, “I’m not a model– I’m an actor. [So] I play with real people, and I hope [that’s] appreciated by everyone.”
He also highlighted how he wanted to bring back acting to the Philippines and put a spotlight on the talent of Filipino creatives.
The Viva artist confirmed, “Yeah, I want to bring acting back. I want to show that the Philippines has immense talent from directors, producers, filmmakers, DOPs, writers, actors, dancers, [to] singers. I want to change the culture. That was in Sitio Diablo, to change the culture. And in Panibugho, it’s to bring out the culture because it’s one period piece. It’s a ’90s film, so I want to be part of those.”
He also wanted to point out that their upcoming Vivamax movie is an art piece instead of a sexy film.
He added, “I don’t view this as a sexy film– I view this as an art piece.”
Estrada stars in ‘Panibugho’ with Angela Morena, Stephanie Raz, Micaella Raz, and Benz Sangalang.
Under the direction of Iar Arondaing, with Director Roman Perez Jr. as their Creative Producer, Vivamax’s 2023 opening film premieres via Vivamax Plus on January 2 and streams on Vivamax on January 6.
