On December 15, Viva artist Kiko Estrada confessed to having challenges wearing plaster for his Vivamax movies.
At the digital conference for Panibugho, which LionhearTV covered, Estrada cited the difficulty of taking off plaster after filming intimate scenes.
“The plaster. One thing about Vivamax, I was telling everyone, it’s just the plaster. It’s not even putting it on– it’s taking it off. ‘Yung dikit niya, so you have to– there’s a process, to you know, to go with after that.”
He then discussed the similarities between Vivamax films and Hollywood movies.
“But yeah, besides that, but yeah, ‘yung mga ginagawa namin in Vivamax, in Hollywood, it’s just basic if you compare it to that. I don’t see the difference compared to Hollywood because they also have those daring movies, and it’s accepted there as art, or as films, or as cinemas. So, I don’t see anything–I’m just playing mature roles.”
As for his acting career, Estrada said he did enjoy portraying youthful characters but he has now fallen in love with acting because of his more mature roles.
“To be honest, I enjoyed it before. Of course, progression naman ‘yan sa kani-kanilang buhay at career. But yeah, I’m falling in love with these roles; they’re complex, very deep, malalim, it deals with mature topics.
“And yeah, [very real,] to be honest; it’s movies, it’s films [and] I am enjoying, but I also appreciate the ones before, but it’s hard to compare. But yeah, I love what I do–I’m falling in love with the craft again ever since my Mom took care of me. So more to come, and I’m just going to get better and better. It’s just an evolution.”
As for his upcoming Vivamax film, Panibugho stars Kiko Estrada, Angela Morena, Stephanie Raz, Micaella Raz, and Benz Sangalang.
Under the direction of Iar Arondaing, Vivamax’s 2023 opening salvo premieres via Vivamax Plus on January 2 and streams on Vivamax on January 6.
