‘My Father, Myself’ actors Jake Cuenca and Sean De Guzman revealed how they filmed their intimate scenes on November 24.
At the media conference for Metro Manila Film Festival Entry, which LionhearTV covered, De Guzman noted that the scenes and emotions came naturally to them.
Cuenca’s performance in the film differed from his previous collaborations with award-winning director Joel Lamangan. Cuenca revealed, “Parang sobrang in contrast po doon sa una naming ginawa ni Direk Joel, ‘yung Lihis, ito very smooth sailing. Di ba pag dating sa eksena na ‘to, talagang hindi na kami– ‘yung wala na kaming bwelo, ginawa na lang natin, and then ang ganda ng lumabas.”
He also acknowledged De Guzman’s commitment to his role, which admittedly made a fan out of Cuenca.
The actor said, “…wala kasing reluctancy si Sean…I see so much potential and talagang tumatangkilik ako kay Sean. He’s made a fan out of me after this movie, kasi talaga namang napaka professional as an actor.”
He is in awe of the new actor and hopes to work with him again in the future. Cuenca said that he doesn’t know many people just starting out who can play the part right away.
The MMFF 2022 entry ‘My Father, Myself’ stars De Guzman, Cuenca, Dimples Romana, and Tiffany Grey.
Under the direction of Joel Lamangan and co-production of 3:16 Media Network and Mentorque Productions, ‘My Father, Myself’ will premiere on December 25, Christmas Day.
