At the media conference for Pinakbest book launch, which LionhearTV covered on December 8, Senator Imee Marcos revealed that she idolizes actress Judy Ann Santos as a celebrity cook.
Sen. Marcos praised Santos’s commitment to her cuisines.
“I have to say that my all-time celebrity cooking idol is Juday. Ang galing niyang mag-luto. Totohanan siyang mag luto.
“Yeah, she’s [totally] serious, and I always follow her.”
She also addressed the creation of a cooking show since she has an upcoming cookbook, Pinakbest.
I’m sure we’re going to have to do that. We’re going to have a YouTube series.
She also shared some topics and cuisines in her book, with notes from Chef Reggie Aspiras.
Tisay. Hindi ako nagmana sa awa ng Diyos.
“Pero basic Tisay food, Visay food, Visayang Tisay. And Putchero is very much like Cocido, Mexican, Spanish, Portuguese, a basic boiled dinner, pero siyempre, dahil Filipino tayo, dinagdagan natin ng matamis.
As for PinakBest, Sen. Imee Marcos‘s cookbook reflects the lives of the Marcos family through food. It is currently available for purchase.
The book, written by Sen. Marcos herself with notes from Chef Aspiras, became available on December 14, with a signing event in San Juan City for those who pre-ordered the book.
