Asia’s longest drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), and TV5’s iconic reality singing competition Sing Galing ended high on the rating chart.
On Saturday, December 10, MMK aired the last of its three-part finale episode after three decades on the air. Like in the past 30 years, the finale episode was also warmly received by the viewers, as evidenced by its good rating performance.
Based on the latest rating report from Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, MMK ended strong as it climbed up to the number 12 rank on the leaderboard with a rating of 3.4%.
Since the shutdown of ABS-CBN in May 2020 and the limited reach of A2Z, MMK has ranked below the 20th spot, averaging only a 2% rating.
But viewers gave the Kapamilya drama anthology–a farewell with its good ratings despite its broadcast challenges, which is a testament to MMK’s decades of the good following from Pinoy televiewers.
Meanwhile, like MMK, TV5’s Sing Galing also ended well in the rating game.
Sing Galing also aired its finale on December 10, and based on the rating report–it also fared well.
According to the Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, Sing Galing scored a 2.9% rating and settled in the number 14 position, a leap from its previous 22nd to 24th ranking on its weekday airing.
In the finale episode, Sing Galing crowned its Year 2 winner, Carmela Lorzano, as the Ultimate Bida-Oke Star.
Lorzano took home the jackpot prize, which included a home and living essentials package, a family staycation package, a kaSULITbahay package, a brand-new car, and one million pesos!
