On December 26, Drag Den creatives, hosts, and Queens reacted to netizens slamming the original Pinoy Drag reality competition’s latest promotional video.
Drag Den director Rod Singh highlighted their latest ‘Barangayan-themed‘ watch party in a tweet.
#DragDenPH #DragDenPinoyPantasya https://t.co/L4N3ICeR4P

Singh then responded to the criticisms thrown at their original Pinoy Drag reality show through a lengthy tweet, citing her experience as a young LGBTQIA+ person.
Walang class, masyadong maingay, masyadong femme. (1/14)

Social media star and host Sassa Gurl called one of the netizens who criticized their digital series.

Another netizen cited how the original Pinoy Drag reality show drew inspiration from the local Filipino Drag scene.
Hello.
Drag Den is drawing heavy inspiration from local barangayan and gay pageants that is already happening for years in PH.
So for those people saying that it is "kanal", "cheap"… Hmmmmm. I don't know. Maybe we should check if we even know these things? 🙂

Lady Gagita seemingly agreed with a simple reminder.
Let's also check our privilege. https://t.co/noGE3dvJkR

Another netizen pointed out that other netizens also had similar talking points about Drag Race Philippines, which got shut down.
Di ba nagkaroon na ng similar tweet before criticizing Drag Race PH for being “kanal”? “Kanal” IS part of Philippine Drag culture! Kaya nga “Made FOR Filipinos, BY Filipinos” diba?
