On December 27, Deleter director Mikhail Red revealed that he received an important call reporting that their horror film reached the number one top ticket sales in major cinemas around the country.
Red’s tweet included reports that the noontime slots of their film have already gone sold out, with some screenings having the audience sit on the stairs.

With his tweet, many are asking whether Deleter overtook Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi’s Partner In Crime, which reportedly got the top spot for the highest-grossing movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022.
However, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has yet to release any official figures for the MMFF2022.
In past MMFFs, Vice Ganda’s films usually get the highest-grossing spot early in the festival period. However, in 2019, Miracle in Cell No. 7 nabbed the top spot later on the festival.
As for Deleter, the horror film produced by Viva Films starring Nadine Lustre, McCoy De Leon, Louise De Los Reyes, and Jeffrey Hidalgo received seven awards from MMFF Gabi ng Parangal such as Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Actress for Nadine Lustre, and Best Picture.
