Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) long-time host Charo Santos is looking forward to doing more films and TV drama projects as her show is ending soon.
MMK will finally bid goodbye on December 31 after about 31 years on television.
In a report by ABS-CBN on November 29, Santos said that she is sad that MMK is coming to an end but is looking forward to more projects in the future.
“But all things must come to an end. I’m just so grateful for the 31 years that the viewers supported ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya,'” she said.
She then expressed her gratitude to all the viewers who supported her show.
“What can I say? I can only say thank you. Thank you so much for all the years that they’ve supported ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya.’ At saka nakakataba ng puso na we’re on our last two episodes ay talagang lungkot at panghihinayang ang naririnig mo sa avid fans ng programa. But you know ganoon ang buhay. Life goes on.
It also presented a slice of life of the Filipinos at ang daming aral na dinala, so nakakatuwa.
MMK premiered on May 15, 1991. It is the longest-running drama anthology in the country.
To mark MMK‘s 31st anniversary–the show will air a three-part episode that started November 26 leading up to its December 10 farewell.
