On December 4, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo revealed that Start-Up PH was pitched to her before transferring to GMA Network.
Alonzo said she accepted the role because she always wanted to work with Alden Richards, her co-star in Start-Up PH.
The actress revealed, “So, it was [parang] an easy yes for me, pero, of course, the process sa paglipat, mahirap. But sa pagpili ng project. It was so easy to pick this one.”
She then discussed how she related to her character, especially being a go-getter, family-oriented, and goal-oriented person. Alonzo shared, “We have a lot of similarities, ‘yung character ni Dani at ako, we’re both family-oriented, we’re both go-getters, and ‘yun, we’re also very goal-oriented. When we want something, we really fight to get it. That’s how I relate.”
According to her, “And feeling ko, nakaka-relate din ‘to sa yugto ng buhay ko ngayon because, ‘yung sa Start-Up, nag-start ka ng bagong kumpanya, and I’m starting to venture into other opportunities here in GMA Network. So parang for me, I resonate well with the character.”
Alonzo moved to GMA Network in July 2021 after years of working as a Kapamilya.
The latest heartwarming episode of Start-Up PH features Bea Alonzo with Alden Richards, Yasmien Kurdi, and Jeric Gonzales.
Start-Up PH airs weeknights on GMA at 8:50 p.m. and on GTV at 11 p.m. every Friday.
