At the media conference for Lovely Ladies Dorm, which LionhearTV covered on December 1, Viva sexy female stars Andrea Garcia, Tiffany Grey, and Hershie De Leon shared what it was like working with Alma Moreno.
Garcia, the granddaughter of seasoned actress Marissa Delgado, said she learned from observing Moreno’s spontaneity and nuances in acting.
“It was really interesting to work with her kasi ‘yung mga beterano po talaga, you really get to learn a lot. Kahit hindi ka nila payuhan directly, kahit panoorin mo pa lang ‘yung way of acting nila, may mapupulot ka na talaga.
“And I really love, and learn ngayon ‘yung pagka-spontaneous niya as an actress, and how natural it is na ine-embody talaga niya ‘yung character.”
She also cited how she plans to use what she learned in her career as a new Viva artist.
“And I think that’s really one great thing I learned from her, na ina-apply ko na rin in my future projects na hindi–pag si Miss Alma, hindi na siya si Miss Alma pagdating ng in character na siya kay Miss Lovely.”
Grey attested to Moreno’s investment in her character.
“Kahit hindi siya masyadong nagsasalita pag nasa set kami, pero pag nag-act na siya, hindi na talaga siya si Miss Alma, nakukuha niya– I mean nasa character na talaga siya. Nadadala kami, nadadala ako sa pag-acting niya.”
De Leon noted how her impression of Moreno changed as they started working.
“Akala ninyo ng una, masungit siya, pero pagnaka-close mo talaga siya, hindi po ‘yun ganon iniisip ninyo sa kaniya. Maano po siya.Â
“Pero, tinulungan niya po kaming lahat ng girls, tinulungan niya po kami.”
Lovely Ladies Dorm stars Garcia, Grey, De Leon, Julia Victoria, and Alma Moreno. The six-part Vivamax series, directed by Mervyn Brondial, Lovely Ladies Dorm, streams starting December 18 via Vivamax.
