Viva artist Andrea Garcia recalled on December 1, her dorm life experience before entering showbiz.
At the media conference for Lovely Ladies Dorm, which LionhearTV covered, Garcia asserted how their series reflects her real-life experience living in a dorm.
“Actually, kapag pinanood ninyo ‘yung Lovely Ladies Dorm, it’s really funny kasi ‘yung mga mapapanood ninyo, interesting enough, it really happens in real life.”
She then detailed some of her experience as a tenant in an all-female dorm.
She then attested how the series resonated with her as someone who lived in a dorm.
“The series really resonated with the dorm life and it also gave justice to what a lady’s dorm is, kasi hindi ‘yun mapapakita, and dito you’re really going to see an unfiltered life of anong buhay ng mga babae sa isang dorm.”
She then recounted her experience getting bullied in High School and College.
“I was a big dork, I was a big nerd, binu-bully po ang Andrea noong High School at College kasi panget daw po ako at mataba ako, so I was bullied a lot, madaming times na wala na akong friends, aral lang ako.
“But it was fun, I would say na after college, noong from ugly duckling, naging beautiful swan na ako. It was nice, the College experience was nice naman.”
Lovely Ladies Dorm stars Andrea Garcia, Tiffany Grey, Hershie De Leon, Julia Victoria, and Alma Moreno.
The six-part Vivamax series Lovely Ladies Dorm, directed by Mervyn Brondial, streams starting December 18 via Vivamax.
