Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes’s swimming skills got questioned as she will set to breathe into the iconic character Dyesebel in 2023.
Dyesebel is another creation of Mars Ravelo, which follows a story of a mermaid who eventually gains a full-human form through a deal with a sea witch.
Marian Rivera starred in the first TV series adaptation of Dyesebel in 2008. Anne Curtis followed suit in 2014.
Recently, rumors of Brillantes taking on the role of Dyesebel after Ogie Diaz congratulated the young actress.
On Diaz’s YouTube show Showbiz Update on December 11, he said Brillantes knows how to swim.
“Yes marunong mag swim. Actually, ‘yung nanay niya ay diver. Napakahusay mag diving ng nanay niya. So nag pa-practice na rin ng bongga si Andrea. Magaling na siyang sumisid.”
Aside from Dyesebel, Brillantes will also have a new series Drag You And Me which will also premiere on 2023.
Dyesebel will premiere in 2023. It will reportedly replace the Darna series starring Jane De Leon.
