On November 8, actress-host Yassi Pressman revealed that her boyfriend Jon Semira had expressed his support for her selection as GSM Blue’s 2023 Calendar Girl.
Pressman discussed Semira’s reaction to her latest project at the grand reveal event at the Makati Diamond Residences. She quips, “Wala naman, wala naman, very happy, supportive.”
She then expressed her gratitude and pride at being chosen as the 2023 Calendar Girl by Ginebra San Miguel. The actress exclaimed, “I’m very proud of this very big event of the year. I hope gusto ng mga Ka-Barangay. I’m at a loss for words.”
She confessed that she didn’t imagine that GSM Blue would select her but she is very proud to have been chosen, “Actually no, hindi ko ever nai-magine, pero when the opportunity came to me, tapos sabi ko ang ganda-ganda ng brand din. Siyempre it’s been around for 188 years, and to be chosen. It’s such an honor.”
She also acknowledged the pressure of being GSM Blue’s 2023 Calendar Girl.
She explained that the previous cover girls were “almost perfect,” but she convinced herself to be the healthiest version of herself. She also reminded herself that she is not competing with anyone other than herself, so she must do her best now.
Accompanying the event was a 30-second clip showing a sneak peek of Pressman’s photoshoot for the GSM Blue 2023 Calendar, wherein the actress-host danced to Meghan Trainor’s ‘Made You Look.’
In previous years, the liquor brand’s Calendar Girls included Pia Wurtzbach, Ellen Adarna, Kim Domingo, Sanya Lopez, Christelle Abello, and Chie Filomeno.
As for Pressman, she worked on projects such as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Rolling In It Philippines, More Than Blue, Camp Sawi, and Diary ng Panget.
