The couple spent Halloween in Japan together with Domingo’s showbiz friends.
Wedding bells will soon ring for Kapamilya TV host Robi Domingo and his non-showbiz girlfriend Maiqui Pineda, after the former popped the question to the latter. Pineda said ‘yes’ in the presence of Domingo’s friends and hundreds of passersby who witnessed the romantic proposal in the middle of the Shibuya crossing in Tokyo.
Domingo and Pineda dated for four years before the PBB alumnus braved to finally ask the latter to marry him. The two were on a barkada trip, joined by several Kapamilya stars, including Joshua Garcia, Zanjoe Marudo, Ria Atayde, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla.
The group has been in Japan for over a week, as of this writing.
The couple’s surprise announcement comes on the heels of several showbiz engagements in 2022. It can be recalled that actor-politician also proposed to social media star and TV personality Maine Mendoza in late July. Social media couple Cong Velasquez and Viy Cortez announced their engagement in September. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach got officially engaged to businessman-model Jeremy Jauncey in May. Long-time partners Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero similarly announced their upcoming wedding in March, and Maja Salvado said ‘yes’ to Rambo Nuñez in April.
