More unique and inspiring music will be in store for loyal Kapuso listeners as AltG Records, a sub-label of GMA Music, and an alternate ground for music fans, proudly sealed the contracts of three talented musicians last November 8.
Kapuso singer-songwriter Mcoy Fundales renewed his contract while the newest additions to AltG’s roster of artists are music pioneer and talented indie musician Abby Clutario and rising young musician Anton Paras.
Present during the virtual contract signing event were GMA Music Artist and Repertoire Manager and In-house Producer Kedy Sanchez and GMA Music Artist and Repertoire Officer and In-house Producer Paulo Agudelo.
Sanchez is elated to have this momentous virtual contract signing with AltG and assures that new music will be heard from them, “Now that the protocols are a little easier, mas gusto namin mag-concentrate sa music na we don’t normally hear from our teleseryes and programs. We intend, especially starting 2023, to have more artists produce more music na nasa alternative genre. ‘Yung medyo off sa mainstream, and this is the start.”
Meanwhile, Agudelo congratulated and expressed his full support to the artists, “I would like to congratulate Mcoy, Abby, and Anton for officially being part of the AltG family, and I’m really excited sa inyo kasi you guys have a unique quality that would really greatly push our label into greater heights. I wish everyone success in your musical journey and nandito lang kami, you’re AltG family, to always support you.”
As he renewed his contract with AltG, Mcoy looks forward to creating more music with the sublabel and revealed his preparations for his new songs, “Meron akong new songs na gusto kong i-record and I would be doing the song together with a Kapuso female artist, kumbaga duet siya. That’s the next thing I’m planning to do. Kung sino ‘yung makaka-duet ko sa recording ay secret muna. Bihira kong gawin ‘yun, to record a song na duet pero it would be exciting na ‘yun ‘yung next na pinaplano kong i-record.”
On the other hand, Abby is equally excited for this brand-new opportunity, “I’ve been an independent artist for the longest time and signing with the record label, I know will give me more chances of having my music heard po sa mas nakararaming audience and ‘yun lang naman po ang gusto ng bawat musikero, ang mapakinggan ang talents at mensahe ng mga kantang gusto namin iparating. Of course, natutuwa po ako at si Sir Kedy ay ininspire ako na ma-push itong opportunity. At dito po ako talaga excited kasi I know I’m gonna be working not only with my own songs, pero ‘yung songs din po na close to heart at sa ating mga Pinoy. Very excited po akong magawa ‘yung mga ganung proyekto.”
Lastly, Anton conveyed his excitement to finally be part of a recording label, “Sa pagpasok ko po sa AltG, I’m expecting to share music to people to inspire them. Makagawa po ng music na makaka-relate po sa experiences ng ibang tao. Kung may pinagdadaanan sila pwede nila gamitin ‘yung song ko para makapag-bigay ng lakas ng loob.” He added, “May naka-prepare na po akong songs. Meron po akong isa na pinag-iisipan na pong i-record. Tagalog po siya na tungkol sa hopeless romantic. Nagsusulat na rin po ako ng new songs na pwede na rin pong gawin.”
Kapuso listeners should not miss the upcoming songs of these talented artists with AltG Records. Congratulations, Mcoy, Abby, and Anton! For more stories about the Kapuso Network, visit www.GMANetwork.com.
