At the media conference for ‘Kaluskos’, which LionhearTV covered on November 17, actor Karl Medina addressed the challenges of creating a quality film.
The tight filming of Kaluskos required Medina to be highly prepared and alert. Medina shared, “I think personally naman as an actor, I guess ‘yung level ng preparedness and alertness na kailangan mo dahil dikit-dikit ‘yung eksena na shinoshoot in a day. So kailangan mayroon kang grasp of what’s happening sa next sequence, what’s happening the following day.
He added, “So mentally and emotionally, dapat prepared ka na, before you even go in. I guess in this case, a day before dapat prepared ka na eh. Kailangan pagsalang mo the next day, ‘yung ‘yung parang ano eh, ready to go ka na.”
However, despite the challenges, he clarified that they had a comfortable environment while filming their movie.
As for his character, Medina hinted at the emotionally challenging task of portraying his character’s darkness. He narrated, “So the husband, the character I played, mayroon siyang sariling darkness na kailangan kong timplahin, because sabi nga nila, ‘yung masamang tao, hindi nila alam na masama sila, so may ganong kailangan ilabas for that character. But it was challenging and enjoyable at the same time.”
Karl Medina stars in the Vivamax film Kaluskos with Coleen Garcia, Cara Gonzales, Elora Espano, and Queenzy Calma.
The Vivamax domestic thriller, directed by Roman Perez Jr., will be released on November 30, 2022, by Vivamax.
