Kapamilya Network’s latest action-thriller teleserye, The Iron Heart strikes a good start in the rating game following a strong performance on its pilot week.
According to the latest rating reports from Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People’s Survey, the Richard Gutierrez-starrer made a good impression during its debut week.
Its pilot episode on Monday, November 14 scored 4.8%, debuting at the number 10 spot on the rating chart.
Pinoy televiewers may have missed the usual action-drama series on primetime as The Iron Heart moved up by 0.4% on the following day, Tuesday, November 15, at 5.2%.
Although on Wednesday, November 16, the Kapamilya teleserye encountered a bump as it went down by 0.3% to 4.9%.
But it quickly bounced back the following day, Thursday, November 17, adding 0.9% to its previous day’s rating, getting 5.8%.
On the same day, The Iron Heart‘s rating board ranking rose to number 9 from number 10, marking the first time that a Kapamilya primetime program in its third slot surpassed the number 10 ranking.
Its predecessor, 2 Good 2 Be True, didn’t make it to the top 10 until the very end.
The pilot week featured Apollo’s backstory and the consequences that led to his current life.
Played by Kyle Echarri as the young Apollo, the pilot episodes introduced him as an upright young man solely raised by his father (Al Tantay). His quest for justice and revenge started with the death of his father during a bus hold-up by the lowly members of the Tatsulok criminal syndicate, which he will soon infiltrate with the help of his benefactor, played by Maricel Laxa.
The Iron Heart also stars Maja Salvador, Albert Martinez, Dimples Romana, Jake Cuenca, and Sue Ramirez, among others.
