On November 8, GMA Network’s matinee idol in-the-making Anjay Anson joined LionhearTV on a one-on-one Zoom interview, where he discussed how he went from TikTok to Showbiz.
“Syempre pandemic lahat tayo nasa bahay lang and parang doon pa lang nauuso ‘yung TikTok. Naisip ko magpost ng parang glow up video,” narrated Anson.
“Then nagulat ako after a day, nagtrend pala ‘yung TikTok na ‘yon. Doon ako nakita ng co-manager ko.”
His manager encouraged Anson to audition for the GMA, where he landed his first project Regal Studio Presents Magkaibigan, Nagkaibigan.
One year as a Kapuso, the young idol shared the best thing about being part of the Network.
“Everything about being a Kapuso is the best part,” he declared.
For Anson, the Network has become his home due to the warm and easygoing people he’s working with.
He shared, “I’m comfortable whenever I’m there. Kapag nandoon ako laging good vibes. Walang isang beses na pumunta ako sa GMA na bad mood ako or uuwi ako from GMA na bad mood ako.”
Anson also named actor-dancer Rayver Cruz as one of the artists from the Network whom he would like to share the spotlight within the future.
“It’s actually one of my dreams kasi syempre grabe naman din sumayaw si kuya Rayver. Parang to be on one stage kasama siya, it’s an honor na. It’s a blessing na,” he said.
Today, the Sparkle artist is one of the hosts of the morning show Unang Hirit.
