Director Roman Perez Jr. listed reasons why he chose Azi Acosta to be a lead in ‘Pamasahe’

On November 14, Viva cult director Roman Perez Jr. listed reasons why he and Viva chose Azi Acosta as the lead star for Pamasahe.

At the media conference for Pamasahe, which LionhearTV covered, Perez recounted seeing Acosta’s resemblance to Joyce Jimenez and Alice Dixson when he worked with the Viva artist.

“Nagamit ko siya before, sa Sitio Diablo, she’s so intelligent.

May ganon siyang resemblance.

He also compared Acosta to Judy Ann Santos because of her nuanced acting during their drama-heavy scenes.

Tapos ang tapang noong mata niya, ang appeal and then intense, intense ‘yung bata eh. Di ‘yan nagce-cellphone pag nag-sho-shoot. In character na, naglalakad sa set in character.

He then detailed how he and Viva agreed to give a dramatic project for Acosta through Pamasahe after seeing her talent for the genre.

Acosta stars in the Vivamax film Pamasahe with a powerhouse Viva cast such as Mark Anthony Fernandez, Felix Roco, Rash Flores, Chad Solano, Aj Oteyza, Shiena Yu, Julio Diaz, and Erlinda Villalobos.

Pamasahe, under the direction of Direk Roman Perez Jr., premieres on December 5 via Vivamax Plus and streams on December 9 via Vivamax.
