Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana, on November 5 at a press launch for The Iron Heart, clarified rumors spreading on social media regarding Angel Locsin’s social media hiatus.
Recently, several netizens have noticed Locsin’s silence on social media for the past months, especially when Typhoon Paeng hits the country.
The former Darna star has been known for her philanthropic works during public emergencies and calamities.
Because of her absence, several speculations surfaced on social media that Locsin is pregnant and that actress is going through marital problems.
However, Romana dismissed all those rumors, saying Locsin wants to spend private moments with her loved ones.
Romana said she’s in constant communication with Locsin, and that the actress is taking the privacy she deserves.
“Pero alam mo naman tayong mga tao, of course we have moments na you know, we want to… paano ba, ako kasi mayroon akong mga moments na ganiyan eh. Sa pamilya ko parang I just want to focus on my family first, on my loved ones and I think Gel super earned that kind of kasi we’ve seen her and she has not stop working ever since.
“Ibigay na natin yung privacy na iyon.”
Meanwhile, aside from Dimples, host-comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz also dispelled rumors that the actress’s marriage with Neil Arce is currently on the rocks.
In a YouTube video uploaded on his YouTube channel on November 5, Ogie shared the real story about Locsin’s social media silence.
According to the comedian-talent manager and vlogger, a source, close to Locsin shared that the actress is purely on social media detoxification and is spending more time with her family, especially with her 94-year-old father.
Ogie said there’s no truth to rumors that the actress and Arce have already separated as they are very much together.
“Hindi sila hiwalay ni Neil. They’re very much together. Napapansin ng iba hindi kasama ni Neil sa kanyang mga posts si Angel. Baka din inawat ni Angel nitong si Neil na huwag muna akong isasama diyan sa mga posts mo,” Diaz said.
